SSG’s gratings are manufactured by our precise high-speed computer-controlled equipment which combines intense hydraulic pressure (120 tons) with a powerful electric current (2,500 KVA) to electro-forge the cross bars and bearing bars into a single rigid standard panel. This one-piece construction not only eliminates any cracks or open joints that might harbor moisture or other other corrosive materials, but shaping can also be done to a great extent without destroying or reducing the rigidity and strength of the metal. The square twisted steel cross bars of SSG’s gratings provide excellent traction for walking surfaces and increased load-bearing ability. The electro-forge machine of Siam Steel Gratings Co., Ltd. also has the flexibility and capacity of welding a very wide range of bearing bar and cross bar sizes.
